    Section - 8 - Meetings of National Council.

    (1) The National Council shall meet for the dispatch of business at such times, and places as the Executive Chairman may appoint but shall meet at least once in every month.

    (2) The Executive Chairman shall, if present, preside at every meeting of the National Council and in his absence the Chief Administrative Officer shall preside and, in the absence of both of them, a person elected by the members of the National Council present from among their number shall preside.

    (3) The quorum at any meeting of the National Council shall be seven.

    (4) Questions proposed at any meeting of the National Council shall be determined by a simple majority of members present and voting and, in the event of an equality of votes, the person presiding shall have a second or casting vote.

    (5) The National Council may at any time co-opt any person or persons to act as an adviser or advisers at any of its meetings; so however, that no person so co-opted shall be entitled to vote at any such meeting on any matter for decision by the National Council.

    (6) The validity of any proceedings of the National Council shall not be affected by any vacancy among its members or any defect in the appointment or nomination of any of them.

    (7) Any member of the National Council who has any interest in any company or undertaking with which the National Council proposes to enter into a contract or has any interest in any contract which the National Council proposes to enter into shall disclose in writing to the National Council the nature of his interest and shall be disqualified from participating in any deliberations of the National Council on the contract and from voting in any decision of the National Council on the contract.

    (8) Any member of the National Council who infringes subsection (7) of this section shall be liable to be removed from the National Council.
