SPORTS ACT - 1976 (SMCD 54)

    Section - 26 - Tenure of Office of Members of District Sports Council.

    (1) All members of a District Sports Council other than the District Chief Executive or his representative and the Executive Secretary shall hold office for a period of twelve months.

    (2) Any such member may by writing addressed to the Chairman of the Council and copied to the Executive Secretary resign his office.

    (3) The District Chief Executive may, after consultation with the Executive Secretary, by writing addressed to any such member and copied to the Executive Secretary, remove him from office on stated grounds of misconduct or inability to perform the functions of his office.

    (4) Any person ceasing to hold office as a member of a District Sports Council shall be eligible to serve again on a District Sports Council.
